Heads Together

about_us

I am so delighted to see that the royal family are involved in promoting awareness for mental health!
They speak very openly about what they have witnessed in their work regarding mental health and the importance they put on wanting others to have the help they need to support themselves or friends and family. They are encouraging many to break the stigma so that stigma no longer prevents people getting help they need.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry are spearheading the Heads Together campaign to end stigma around mental health. Heads Together aims to change the national conversation on mental health and wellbeing, and is a partnership with inspiring charities with decades of experience in tackling stigma, raising awareness, and providing vital help for people with mental health challenges.”

2017 London Marathon Charity of the Year

Heads Together has been awarded the huge privilege of being the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon Charity of the Year.
As the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon Charity of the Year, Heads Together will have marathon places available where runners will be able to raise vital funds and awareness for the eight charity partners.

  1. YoungMinds
  2. Best Beginnings
  3. CALM – The Campaign Against Living Miserably
  4. Contact (a military mental health coalition)
  5. Place2Be
  6. TheMix
  7. Mind
  8. Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families

Training Day

Their Royal Highnesses joined training sessions on the new London Marathon Community Track with more than 150 Team Heads Together runners.

Heads Together runners also received advice and encouragement on how they can lead from the front in achieving the campaign mission of starting millions of conversations on mental health in the build up to the Virgin Money London Marathon. In 2017, the Virgin Money London Marathon is celebrating the unique story of every runner and the Heads Together runners also had the opportunity to visit the video booth and record their personal #ReasonToRun for Heads Together.

This is so inspiring and such a great opportunity to promote mental health awareness! So many have come forward already and signed up to run and if you click here you can read some of their stories.
